Addiction is fatal and makes your life miserable. But even then a question arises in the mind that, which is the drug in the world whose addiction is worst? Researchers also studied this question a bit and according to them any addiction is judged by many things. For instance, how bad it is, what is the cost of getting it, how much of it activates the brain’s dopamine system, how much do people call drugs, the level of symptoms that are seen when leaving the drug, and how easily the drug can make an individual take over. In 2007, David Knut and his colleagues questioned the subject related to the subject and received some interesting results. Professor Eric Bowman of the Psychology and Neuroscience at St Andrews University in the English site “The Conversation” presented his report on which the results were as follows:
1. Heroin
Experts have rated heroin as the most addictive drug (addiction drug), giving a maximum of 2.5 marks out of 3. The test of the heroin on animals showed that the dopamine level in the brain reaches 200 percent after getting the dose of opiate addiction i.e. heroin. In addition to the most addictive addiction, heroin is also the most dangerously controversial. Because its peak blissful dosage can be five times as fatal. In the case of harm, heroin is said to be the first most harmful drug addiction.
2. Alcohol
Based on question-answer from experts, alcohol (alcohol) was considered the world’s second addictive addiction. In this drug addict, it was given 2.2 out of 3 points in addiction category. Laboratory tests performed on animals showed that alcohol increases the dopamine level of the brain by 40 to about 360 percent. Apart from this, the more alcohol is taken, the level of dopamine increases as much. Almost 22 percent of people consuming alcohol becomes dependent of it at some point of life.
3. Cocaine
Actually, after taking cocaine, it prevents neurons from pointing out the dopamine effect. In the experiment on animal for cocaine, the normal level of dopamine was abnormally exceeds three times. It is estimated that from 1.4 million to 2 million people in the world, cocaine is a victim of addiction. Crack cocaine is considered by the experts to be the third most dangerous drug, while powder cocaine is placed at fifth position. According to an estimate, about 21 percent of people who try cocaine once depends on it whole life.
4. Barbiturates (Downers)
Barbiturates, also known as sleep pills, blue bullets, gorillas, nembies, barbes or pink ladies, are drugs of a class that are used initially to deal with enzymes and to sleep. They affect the brain’s chemical signaling, so that many parts of the brain stop working. The consumption of barbiturates in small amounts is the feeling of reaching the highest peak of the imagination (Euphoria), while its excessive amount can cause problems in breathing and may prove to be fatal. Nut and his expert team described barbiturates as the fourth most addictive substance.
5. Nicotine
Nicotine is a major drug substance in tobacco. When a person smokes, lungs absorbs nicotine and send it into the brain. Nicotine (tobacco) has been described as the 12th most addictive substance by experts. But there are many reasons that prove that nicotine is a very powerful intoxicated substance. An estimate of the World Health Organization suggests that there are 100 million smokers all over the world, and by 2030, more than 8 million people will die each year due to this.
